My laptop is a HP ZBook 14 G2 and the Plex server is the Grandad of i7 3770 CPU's streaming happily for the family on Plex with a few Terabytes of shows and films.... I'm hoping to upgrade it to a 7th Gen i7 later especially now the market is getting flooded on eBay 😉

I switched from Microsoft "Gingerhaired" Evil Stepchild Vista back in 09, went with Ubuntu, tried KDE a number of times, I just can't get on with it, went GNOME 2 at the time, then Unity and I then switched to MATE and now I'm back full circle to GNOME with tweaks! Great journey eh?

Being a fellow Radio Ham, I must point out that Datamodes use the screen time, but theoretically, you can let it run while you're making a coffee etc 😀 I'm getting back into the hobby after a 10 year break, in that time did something the neurosurgeon told me I couldn't.... I've had 2 kids!!

Many thanks for clearing this one up for me... and I shall remember not to use this in any post I reply to on one of the 2 social networks I use. It still doesn't help the fact that meanings of Refugee and Asylym Seeker thanks to media and Political Gov's have become so distorted....

And as I said above, the words Asylym Seeker and Refugee have been distorted so much, many do not understand which is which anymore.... I shall end my posting on this one before I get told I'm racist etc.... of which I am neither as I have muslim, Welsh, Irish, Scottish and European friends....

So I'm going to put my neck on the line and say citizen or work visa, and I mostly agree with you about the crisis being political, but when a UK citizen cannot rent a property because they cannot get a guarantor but asylum can manned you sit up and think and no I'm not being racist etc

I moved from England to Wales with my ex-wife, that was almost 10 years ago, now my almost 10 year old son classes himself as Welsh and I have an almost 7 year old daughter with my partner who is Welsh and getting a property was hard... Ended up private

Mainly Asylym Seeker that comes over by over crowded boat? There's a difference between Refugee and Asylym Seeker... and then it's a house for you while our veterans etc have to suffer?
This is how it's going and we need to find a solution before we go all American!
