I understand the 600 grit is equivalent to the green zona paper and a lot of people tend to skip that one. But idk if it's my molds or something but some edges just need a little bit more hard sanding than others and that's what works for me 💀
Also I might never use zona's again with this method lol

Polished four #dice sets tonight using a bench lathe. Took me 2-3 hours, and compared to a tumbler... I think it was worth it! I used 600 grit for the dice that had finicky edges, then 3000 grit for pre-sanding on the sides that needed it. Used Chemical Guys polishing with the lathe ✨

I got new 35mm d20 #dice molds and cast a blank set to use as a master set for future molds... Lo and behold a massive bubble LOL I don't even know how I messed that up. So I'll redo that one but I am really excited for this!!

Also after a pity party for myself yesterday (tears were had) I ordered some new clay cutters and decided I'm going to focus on making a variety of colors of hobbit door earrings, pie earrings, and dragon earrings.

I'm mostly excited for the dragon earrings! Might make a few Fourth Wing inspired 💕

It needs to get warmer so I can sit in my garage and actually work on dice. 😮‍💨 Otherwise I might have to suck it up and just do it.

(I pre-heat the resin with a warm bath, keep it on a heated mat while working, and it sits overnight in a heated pressure pot. Works very well!) #dice #resindice #dnd
