He awakened their desire for it & urged them towards it, until a lot of good came about in the prison until the prison turned into a place of knowledge & deen, it became better than most of the small prayer rooms, hospices, places where people secluded themselves for worship & even the schools!

"When Ibn Taymiyyah entered prison, he found the prisoners pre-occupied with various types of games with which they passed time, such as chess, backgammon and the likes, of (those things that lead) to neglect of the five daily prayers.

So Ibn Taymiyyah disapproved of that from them.

If u are a Muslim, a believer of Allah & Rasulullah ﷺ, & then make mistakes and sins, then in dunya u receive the kifarah, & then u go through the calamities u faced due to ur sins by getting closer to Allah, repenting (tawbah), & solve problems in halal ways, that's the sign that Allah loves you.

the kuffar may tolerate "Islam" that is restricted to prayer, fasting, zuhd, etc that is solely concerning the Hereafter but when it concerns their dunya (matters like jihad, khilafah) they have an issue.

They accepted taliban, hts cause they dont threaten their dunya due to nationalism.
