we got a cool new flower shrimp today. he’s black/brown, very woodsy looking. my other two are the typical red bamboos

another type of bamboo/wood/flower shrimp that looks like dark driftwood. maybe perhaps what they call “rock shrimp.” he’s fanning on a leaf

went on a very pretty hike on my birthday yesterday. didn’t see much for birds, but 100s of sandhill cranes stopped by once the sun was setting
