Shackling teens is routine for ICE. In FL a teenager was placed in foster care after being found living in a shed with no food, shelter or income. The boy also may have been a victim of labor trafficking. DCF reported him and ICE took him away shackled.
Again Johnson uses the head in sand defense and no one from press follows up with “These are things it’s your job to be aware of and know about. You’re the House and Majority leader. Neglecting your duty is not a defense.”

Florida is gerrymandered to the nth degree and also full of part-time residents who vote here (for homestead protection) but have no interest on local politics or schools. That’s a shitty thing to say.
Things are pretty bad in the formerly democratic state of Florida. Public schools are fighting hostile takeovers thanks to a new state law that allows charter schools to take over public school facilities.
Even schools that serve disabled and special needs students are being targeted.
FLORIDA now requires public schools to share space with charter schools, and “one charter operator intends to occupy space in more than 100 public schools (!)” 🤔
