Great take on the current surveillance crisis with Flock and government in general.

We should not just allow this because "we have nothing to hide", it is not OK no matter what...

There are laws and processes in place for a reason.

"AI cameras aren't always right, but I am 100% sure this was your car"

LOL if you can't see the issue here, maybe you shouldn't be involved with the law.

Don't judge me for vibe coding though, I've written too much Python for it to be fun anymore lol

"OK Nabu, restart Mastodon for me please..."

Call webhook, restart deployment, return a voice prompt when complete

"Mastodon has been restarted!"
So, I am totally going to write a little web service, to allow me to control my k3s-cluster, via HA Voice....

Webhooks should be all I need (with some authentication, of course)

Imagine the amount of shitty you have to be to steal an emergency vehicle...

Now imagine how shitty you have to be to steal an ambulance, WITH a patient inside of it.

If you are in the rust belt, you know my pain
It's amazing how we pay so much for vehicles, and they just rust away over the years...

Some say weight reduction (joke), I say what a waste... It's 2025 and we don't get better coating on metals to prevent rust? Or is it just another matter of plan obsolescence?

Sure I was all cocky, then came the time to actually do the work, and my god does living in New England make automotive work hard...

Took me an hour just to get the wheel free from the rotor, then another hour to free the pins for the brake […]
Oh man, if it's "More safer" I guess I have to buy it...
It is weird to hear Trevor's voice, talking about freaking books lol

This is getting wild... You don't see this on the mainstream media, that's for sure

Every time I get a spam call now, it takes everything in me not to write a call flooder to piss them off...
Finishing a 2 year project that probably took 10 years off your life, has never felt so good.

"zero out crime" meaning "Give up your privacy in the name of safety to a company who has been known to hand over your videos to law enforcement with no warrants"

Sounds about right...

I honestly think social media (not the Fediverse) caused this...

Humans (me included) have become more and more disconnected from "social norms" over the years. This is just a result of a generation which prefers a more virtual lifestyle. Due to this, we find comfort in text-based communication […]

And just in general, everything feels very snappy. Could just be the fresh containers, but just clicking around seems faster... Hmm
Welp, I did it. And honestly, I love the quote post feature so far
I was waiting for the "Can we fail over to another region" question.

Sure, let me go right ahead and create resources that took us months to configure in the current region, and just spin them up in a day in another region.

Sure we won't have connection back to on-prem. Sure we won't have any […]

I have been pretty vocal about this at work, and everyone thinks I am crazy.

How about you don't centralize on a single cloud hosting provider, and instead spread across on-prem, AWS, and Azure... then when something like this happens, you aren't completely dead in the water.

But NOOOO, blah […]
