⚠️ Help protect our most vulnerable patients this winter.

Postpone your visit to patients in our hospitals if you are feeling unwell or have a high temperature.

If you have had sickness or diarrhoea, help reduce the spread of infection by staying at home for 48 hours after symptoms clear.

A generous donation by The Peggy Wood Foundation is already making a difference to cancer patients.

The Foundation gave £93,000 to our MTW Hospitals Charity to purchase five double scalp coolers, giving more people the option to reduce chemotherapy-related hair loss during treatment.

Last week we welcomed local schools to our Academic Centre at Maidstone Hospital for a careers day.

Pupils had the chance to find out about different NHS roles, and take part in immersive simulation rooms, practicing taking pulses, using stethoscopes and learning about resuscitation using manikins.

It’s International Volunteer Day (#IVD2025) and time to say a huge thank our amazing volunteers! 💙

They are a vital part of life in our hospitals and gave over 30,000 hours of time this year!

This week we held a special Christmas lunch at Maidstone Hospital to thank them for their support.

🏆 A team at Maidstone Hospital have received a @myelomauk.bsky.social award for the care they give to people living with myeloma, an incurable blood cancer.

The judging panel praised staff for their focus on enhancing quality of life and their willingness to listen and respond to patients’ needs.

Thanks to @cisco.com’s Connected Santa project, they enjoyed a live virtual call with Santa from the North Pole, and his team of elves handed out gifts.

A state-of-the-art linear accelerator at Kent & Canterbury Hospital has delivered its first treatment a month ahead of schedule!

It brings faster and more precise treatment, and improved efficiency, helping the team continue to offer some of the fastest access to cancer treatment in the country.

The MS-39 is the most advanced technology available for analysis of the front part of the eye: the cornea, iris and lens.

It gave attendees the chance to reflect on their roles as educators with topics including clinical supervision, T-levels, preceptorship & post-registration.

The West Kent Community Diagnostic Centre featured on ITV Meridian News last week.

The centre has delivered 230,000+ tests since opening, helping shorten waiting times, reduce pressure on hospitals and transform care for patients.
