Enjoyed photographing the massive Union Pacific steam locomotive "Big Boy Engine #4014" while it was heading from Cheyenne, Wyoming to Colorado. It was built between 1941-1944.

Enjoyed getting out for some astrophotography last week. This is Messier 101, the "Pinwheel Galaxy", it is a spiral galaxy located about 22 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major. It is nearly twice the size of our own Milky Way Galaxy!

This is the Rosette Nebula NGC 2244, an emission nebula. It is a H II region located near one end of a giant molecular cloud in the Monoceros region of the Milky Way Galaxy. It has a radius of 65 light years and is 5,219 light years from earth.
