MSXVR "Pocket" does not have cartridge slot, so, it can not read a GB/GBC real cartridge. In the picture, the console is playing the DIGITAL version of the game. BTW we are trying to give support to an USB reader/writter for this kind of cartridges.

MSXVR "Virtualizer" can plug real MSX/MSXVR cartriges. It has 4 cartridge slots

MSXVR "Pocket" does not have cartridge slots.
MSXVR "Quantum" does not have catridge slots.
Both can plug cartridges using some USB cartridge reader.

MSXVR "Pocket" (the same for MSXVR "Virtualizer" and MSXVR "Quantum) .. all them use a kind of operating system (application) named MSXVR ENGINE. This "engine" can run adhoc games & applications, emulation and other features.
