It only took a day and a half after Trump’s inauguration for us to have a school shooting and just a day from the swearing in of a new Secretary of Transportation before we have a plane crash. Auspicious beginnings, no?

If I recall, one of the reasons Trump argued for immunity was the “burden” it would place on the presidency; yet apparently (in addition to playing golf) he found time to file an appeal of his conviction (for which he was not punished).

Is anybody keeping a list of: (a) the provisions of the Constitution that Trump has tried to change or get around via EO; and/or (b) the laws that he’s broken since swearing to faithfully uphold those laws? Might be an interesting exercise for posterity.

Sigh. I spent too much time today “discussing” birthright citizenship with someone who didn’t understand that it’s in the Constitution, the reasons, implications, or judicial precedent, why his flawed interpretation would cause chaos, or how to amend the Constitution. Lots of goalpost moving, too.

So… what’s up? I’m told that this is where the cool folks who aren’t toxic bigots have fled too. Here I am, longing for ye olden days of fun interactions, a handful of characters at a time, without every third post being an insult in one form or another.
