Description:
Finistrations takes broken serif forms and sets them into a thick, gritty surface made from marble dust. The letters feel heavy, almost architectural. Cutting across them is a 16.5” Morse code band that spells “ZRF.” It’s a thin strip—electric blue with bright green blocks—that runs like a broadcast signal through the middle of the piece.

The strip doesn’t just sit there. It slices the composition, vibrating against the black and white field. It reads like transmission, interference, or a line of glowing windows punched through the structure. The tension is in that collision: weight versus signal, architecture versus code.

Packing List, Lost asks what you carry when memory itself can’t be trusted. Part of Letters From The Futures, it reflects fragments, erasures, and the blank spaces where thought disappears—what survives the forgetting.

Letters From The Futures began as an exploration of lost language, but it has become something closer to my own lived reality.

Blank spaces. Erasures. Whole threads of memory that vanish mid-sentence. These works are not just abstractions—they are the shape of how my mind now records and forgets.

Each piece is an artifact from an imagined archive: transmissions that falter, letters sent but half-buried, words rewritten and then struck out again.

I don’t approach these works with nostalgia or pity. They stand as fragments—sometimes frustrating, sometimes strangely beautiful—of what it means when memory itself is unreliable.

Here’s a quick update on the piece I’m working on. I’m trying to figure out how to tie the columns together in a way that flows well, but since each piece is a different size, and the stick that’s holding it all together isn’t straight it’s making it a challenge.
