The List is turning 40 🎉

Next, it's the eventful 2000s. This it the time that guest editor Ian Rankin swapped case files for headlines, Noel Gallagher promised us that Oasis would never split up, and Alan Cummings told us he owes his whole career to The List.

Watched documentaries on Werner Herzog and Faye Dunaway this week. Both were fine. I cried all the tears watching Homebound and I hope it gets UK distribution. I laughed till I cried at the ballbuster scene in Carnal Knowledge(a hugely depressing and honest film about men).

I was quite sceptical about a remake of Ang Lee’s The Wedding Banquet but Andrew Ahn’s modern reimagining is quite lovely! Great review by @lauravenning.bsky.social lwlies.com/reviews/the-... and totally agree that Han Gi-chan is a real discovery 💕
The Wedding Banquet review – an unexpected delight
Anchored by a talented cast clearly having the time of their lives, Andrew Ahn’s new banquet is a bit of a treat.
