My favorite (thus far) from this full "Snow" Moon cycle: An Airbus A321-271NX (reg N720NK), climbing out of Orlando (MCO) to San Juan (SJU), briefly blocking my view of the Moon over the Space Coast.

Spirit Airlines 903 was traveling at 17,900 ft & 390 kts.

2026 launch number one: At 1:48am Sunday (Jan 4), SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket, sending a batch of Starlink satellites to space.

This was the view from Cocoa Beach, Florida.

(bonus: The 1st stage booster entry burn is faintly visible through down-range clouds)

At 3:28am (ET) Tuesday, United Launch Alliance launched an Atlas V rocket with the LA-04 payload; sent to space were 27 Amazon Leo satellites.

This was the view from Merritt Island.

Bonus: Zoom on the top of the streak & you can see the ejected solid rocket boosters.

Those are university operated Piper Warrior IIs (N615FT & N604FT) transiting the Full Cold Moon climbing out of Melbourne (MLB) after sunset.

At 2:53am (ET) Saturday, #SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket sending a batch of Starlink satellites to space, seen from (foggy) Palm Shores over the Indian River.

It was launch 101 (& counting) for the Space Coast (!) and the 150th launch (& counting) for SpaceX (!!) in 2025.

Recently recovered Falcon 9 rocket in the port while another heads to space as SpaceX launches the Starlink 6-89 batch of satellites at 10:08pm (ET) Friday night.

This is the first of two launches scheduled for this evening - the next one is scheduled for 1:21am (Saturday).

At 10:04pm (ET) Thursday, the Space Coast hosted the 2nd rocket launch in a day, this time a United Launch Alliance Atlas V 551 sending the Viasat-3 F2 to space from SLC-41.

This was the view from Melbourne/EGAD in a 287-sec exposure.

Records are meant to be broken, and that's what SpaceX did at 10:21pm (ET) Monday when they launched the 94th rocket from the Space Coast (so far) this year.
