How to piss me off if you're the Canadian CRA: send message asking for proof of my $3k income in '24. Apparently I was randomly selected. I've got a suggestion of how to better use your time: instead of going after the honest, ordinary worker, GO AFTER CORPORATIONS who are laughing in your face!!!

I am not aligned with Rory Stewart's politics but he nails it here. With Trump, Musk, and Farage the fight for democracy is very, very real. youtube.com/shorts/SVnWH...

Badenoch has a nerve blaming Reeves for loss of industry. It was Thatcher who decimated UK industry along with industrial communities. We're left with her terrible legacy of neoliberal economics, long term unemployment in former mining communities, privatisation, and toxic masculinity.

Thank you @alastaircampbell2.bsky.social ! youtube.com/shorts/sjGMa... I think this is just the hope the country needs. The economy won't grow until the gov wakes up and smells the delicious European coffee. Brexit was a personality contest between wealthy men and women. Let's get rejoining done!

A men's mental health strategy is long overdue and is good news for all men in the UK. Grateful to be living in a time when men have more and more tools and resources to work through and overcome poor mental health. Toxic masculinity is pervasive and is one of society's ills. It must be overcome.

If you think Labour's new immigration policy echoes the far right, I urge you to look at the Danish PM's politics. Labour's policy is based on Denmark, led by a centre-left PM. 21st century problems demand pragmatism, not dogmatic ideology. MPs have bosses; their constituents, not their own desires.
November 17, 2025 at 2:46 PM
If you look at what Reform UK are advocating vs what Labour's policy is around immigration and asylum they are vastly different. The risk of the first far right gov in history doesn't come from Starmer. It comes from a divided Lab party. The status quo doesn't work. Some Lab MPs need to realise that

Isn't it the case today more than ever that politicians of all stripes, let alone SpAds, more interested in themselves, their career progression, meddling in matters that aren't any of their business, instead of getting on with SERVING the country. Meanwhile the tech giants and corps run rampant.
November 12, 2025 at 10:14 AM
Just as politicians have a responsibility to the public, so do journalists, to report on matters that are in the public interest. Westminster gossip and playground toxicity is not in the public interest. Stop chasing cheap headlines Sky News et al. Why even ask Streeting?! Please be serious

Farage is a GB news shareholder and is paid through a private company for his appearances on the channel.
So, here he is shit-stirring with Trump over the BBC and grifting his nasty little arse off…
There is really nothing of ours he won’t ruin to grab for power and wealth for himself.

If the media or general public want a big personality in power, just remember how that ended with Boris Johnson, Farage, and Brexit. Serious times, unprecedented times, demand serious, pragmatic, grounded, adult leadership, and whatever you think of Starmer, that is what he brings #ukpolitics
November 12, 2025 at 7:18 AM
Westminster politics is Grade A pathetic. One thing I admire about Starmer is his seeming unwillingness to be in the playground. Most of the media is even more pathetic for whipping it up because they get blood thirsty for juicy gossipy headlines that don't exist, right @mrjamesob.bsky.social
November 12, 2025 at 7:15 AM
Whoever is briefing against Starmer's premiership and leadership AGAIN needs to quit it. As a member of the general public, I cannot understand this childish playground nonsense. Get on with what you were elected/hired to do. SERVE the country and make it better for me and my family #ukpolitics

I hope Labour will realise the same old neoliberal ways of doing things are dead. We aren't going to raise living standards. We need a new way of doing economics. Neoclassical thinking should be well in the rear view mirror and technofeudalism is not the answer, hey @yanisvaroufakis.bsky.social
November 10, 2025 at 10:50 AM
We can't ask #reformuk voters, what are you thinking?! The reality is they've been lied to, they've been given easy answers and false promises. Just like Brexit voters were, believing that things could be better.Fallacy.The buck stops with neoliberalism and ReformUK politicians are proponents of it!

Minimum wage is Β£10 or Β£12.21 an hour.

How much does Farage get paid an hour?

he declared Β£40,075.37 for 10 hours. So just over Β£4k an hour. Quite probably more.

He is not on your side.

Watching these results across the pond for the @democrats.org with absolute delight!

Oh Trump hahaha.

It seems a brighter, more hopeful America is once again on the horizon.

Britain: take note.

What US also shows us is just because you're wealthy, just because you have power, just because you have influence doesn't mean you know what is best for the rest of us. In fact the exact opposite is true - you are the reason the economy doesn't work for all. Let that be a warning to us in the UK.

Meanwhile across the pond in the UK, this is what we are facing: www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... . What America shows us is that when the Left unites, the Left wins! Britain doesn't need Trump's or Putin's puppet - it needs bucket loads more of HOPE!
