Decided to search for some washable nest pads after several broken soft shelled eggs. I was excited to find these cloth mats online (yay less plastic), but hold up, they looked just like an old bath mat I had, and I can sew. Voila: new nest pads!!! 🐔🪡♻️🌎

The sweetest boy joined our family today! Curd is a 6 mo. old silkie, and he will be joining our flock of seven hens. Shhh! 🤫 The ladies don't know yet.
We've only had him a few hours, but he is the most adorable cuddle bug, and already snuggling with my daughter. 💓

The weekend harvest! The strawberries are hard to keep up with and a couple of the potato grow bags were ready. It's my first season growing carrots. This climate is better suited for a fall crop, but at least I got some cute baby 🥕s. I hope I have better results in the fall. 🌱🍓🥔🫛 #gardening
