This is a federal public servant appreciation post. We are grateful for all the things you have done and will continue to do for Americans as well as state and local government. I’m sorry… you do not deserve this treatment.
Thank you to all the city crews and emergency managers who made #NoKings safe for all yesterday! 👏🏼👏🏽👏🏾👏🏻 A pic of some of my EOC crew… representing public works, transportation and EM!! Sassss!
As an emergency manager who went to #NoKings protests before they were cool (and prompted EOC activations)… I promise they are the most patriotic, uplifting environments. 🇺🇸 Folks are out there instead of brunch because of love of country. Be safe out there and wishing the EOCs a very mellow day. ✌🏼
Happy #ShakeOut to all that celebrate! Remember to Drop, Cover and Hold On at 10:16. I’ll be on the Pier doing an earthquake/tsunami education message with our new PA system! #earthquake
I think the nominee will be the one to present a reconciliation and reconstruction plan. Need our own version of Project 2025 that can speak to independents.

My kiddos love the rain. Just like their Kansan momma. #LARain
Thanks to @asmrickzbur.bsky.social and team for a great day celebrating the CA 51st State Assembly District community! Great to see so many colleagues honored for their incredible work! And so happy the kiddo got to come!

The editors of the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) were apparently fired today.

The precursor to MMWR began in 1878 to address emerging public health threats rapidly.

We are not “great” without it. We are vulnerable to threats from sporadic foodborne illness to bioterrorism.
@lataco.bsky.social What are trusted resources to find out ICE info in Chicago and other cities? Thank you for all you do! 🩷🌮
@mollyjongfast.bsky.social Could you please do a segment about dems texting its supporters incessantly? You try to stop one text and 5 more appear! Want to help dems with messaging, stop the texts! Seriously, what is with this strategy?!
Call me sensitive but really happy with this piece of news.
Chicago is just fine and I’ll gladly spend my time and money here.
Nothing like flying during a government shutdown. Thank you to all the federal workers who are keeping Americans (including my family and coworkers who are all flying) safe, despite pay and job uncertainty. Again, yall do not deserve this. #GovtShutdown

And more importantly feel horrible for the amazing people who worked there. People who knew my name, were excited when I had a baby. Worried for their livelihoods. 💚
Just so sad about my work #Starbucks closing. Worried I’ll go hungry, uncaffinated, and more grumpy (no grilled cheese, coffee or brownie breaks). Where will city employees go?

Maybe put in Temwa from the Current?!

Appreciate the reporting but headlines matter. Don’t say “swept up” using the “clean up” mentality. Unlawfully arrested sounds a little more accurate.
