Im new to playing hollow knight,
I played Silksong recently. I like the protagonist’s designs in the game.
Their cloaks remind me of Vincent’s red cape and Cloud’s loveless costume.
So I drew Vinny and Cloud cosplaying Hornet and Knight!

Thanks! I also thought of more highly detailed strip shots like how they have it in the show but I couldn't decide on which pose so I stuck with the usual cartoon artsyle

If the story's tone changes from time to time, then the music may become distracting (I find this sometimes too)
Not sure if this helps, but
For me, I use playlists to go back and forth between tones while writing, or just temporarily turn off music and turn on for parts that require more focus

I haven't written anything but if I were to listen to music while reading/writing, I'd put on NIN or Deftones to write/read to; anything that fits the mood/theme of the story.
Instrumental music works for me too if I want more focus (example: slient hill 3 ost for horror fic)
