Good morning! Today begins a warming trend in the NYC metro area! We’ll have a mix of sunshine and clouds. High temps will reach the mid 40s this afternoon. It may feel a bit blustery though with SW winds gusting up to 30mph this afternoon.

Several days of above normal temperatures are likely in much of the CONUS next week with a strong ridge. But persistent troughiness over SE Canada will also likely support some colder temperatures around the Great Lakes and Northeast US.

Good morning! Today is still very cold in the NYC metro area. But it’s a little warmer with high temps reaching the lower 30s this afternoon. We’ll also have more sunshine and lighter winds for most of the day.

9:15am update: Snow will taper off in a few hours in NYC metro. Then skies clear for some sunshine later this afternoon. But it turns colder with blustery NW winds. Temps will fall into the 20s. Real feel temps will be in the teens.

Good morning! Snow will continue to increase in intensity early this morning the NYC metro area. Snowfall totals between 3”- 5” now appear likely in much of the area. But locally higher totals up to 8” are possible, especially over Central NJ and Long Island. Snow should taper off close to noontime.

Monitoring a chance for a notable snowfall near the I-95 corridor late Saturday night into Sunday. There has been little consistency on model solutions on the track and intensity of a wave of low pressure. So snowfall amounts (if any) are highly uncertain at this time.
