A minimalist image of a single pine tree on a snow-covered hill. The sun is draping a shadow of the tree on the hillside, which stretches towards the left of the frame. There are low-lying white fluffy clouds in the background, which give way to a pastel blue sky towards the top of the frame.

We all would have benefited from seeing Gideon go through a challenging primary before the general. Instead, she was anointed as the favorite from the outset, put on a silver platter and was never stress-tested, brought in more money than she could even spend...and lost after a weak campaign.

There's an argument for the benefits of a robust primary that challenges candidates and lets voters see how they clarify and defend their positions before the big show. But yeah, outside political action committees crowning their chosen candidate right from the get-go is not helpful in any way.

What didn't you like about the shooting experience? I also have an FT2 that my dad gave me. I brought it on a trip around the world in '01, but the foam seals have since degraded and I haven't gotten around to replacing them. I recall it was a bit of a tank to shoot with.

AI companies have accounted for 80% of US stock market gains in 2025! This is why it’s being force fed to consumers in every conceivable way. Investors need their returns.

‘“AI companies have accounted for 80 per cent of the gains in US stocks so far in 2025… That is helping to fund and drive US growth … and feeds a boom in consumer spending by the rich.”

Put simply, only the extremely wealthy appear to be benefiting from all of this.‘

Just astonishing selfishness and ego. I could understand the rationale if there were no other viable contenders running, but we’ve already got a flush field of candidates, including Platner, who has been gaining lots of momentum.
