So it turns out the solution to my medical issues is going to be a heart valve replacement. Can't say I'm looking forward to it but I guess I have no choice 🤨

Without meaning to bring the mood down we've lost too many good people from the gaming community recently, and given the year I have had I need to take a lot more care than I have been. See what the doctor says tomorrow afternoon I guess.

In a supreme and totally piss-taking turn of events I am no longer able to attend my own doctors appointment about weakness and swelling in my legs because my legs just gave way and left me lying on the rug for half an hour 😢 No harm done but it's already time to think of other methods!

I'm glad that with the passage of time since my op I have stopped having panic attacks in the middle of the night, though this means I don't seem to be getting any actual rest any more. It would be nice to stop going to bed stupidly early and then waking up before dawn I must say! 🙄

Health update:
My recovery has taken a bit of a knock lately, with my sister having damaged a nerve in her back which has cut her mobility drastically. My absolute rock has been unable to help me with any chores and I haven't even had any visitors for over a week.

@goodfriendsofje.bsky.social The medical chat in Just One More Thing reminded me of the way I see these things. I can watch medical documentaries no problem, but I cannot look at anything of that ilk being attached to me. Once secured it's all fine again. Must be due to my recent experiences.

My slow recovery from surgery back in the summer means I can't even manage to trot over the shop and get some bread and milk by myself. Trouble is my family & local pals are all at work or otherwise busy 🙄

I have so very many things to catch up with and I still haven't even put laundry load #1 in the machine yet 🙄 Still got stuff on the rack from 3 weeks ago that needs putting away. Hopeless!
