The more Velikan hangs out with Vadim outside of work or missions, the more he thinks that Vadim had the weirdest childhood ever.

And that it explains some of his stranger habits.

And he likes knowing, even tho Vadim is pretty tight lipped about everything of his past.

He does have money, he just doesn't use it.

When him and Velikan start being a thing, Veli, who has a much more normal and healthy relationship with his job, takes him shopping just... Partly out of pity and partly because Vadim doesn't own a suit for company Christmas party XD

He has his big jacket and some cargo pants + t-shirts but it's obviously mostly surplus material.

His little apartment has the bare minimum in it, but there is a houseplant there that seems to have achieved some form of spiteful immortality

Silly little thought that he doesn't really own any nice civilian clothes for the longest time because he barely ever goes on leave off base.

When he joins Shadow company he gets help to set up banking stuff and rents an apartment in the city near homebase but he's hardly ever there.

He probably knows a lot about niche his grandma stuff, like foraging, making jam, troubleshooting old engines, how to butcher small game, the right way to cut a cigar. but he wouldn't be able to tell you why kids shouldn't drive a car..

He knows how to hand wash clothes, because his grandma who raised him didn't have water in her home.

Banking or budgeting he probably understands on a very basic level. He wouldn't know how to knot a tie.

But he can find cat videos online, so he's got that going for him

He barely knows pop culture, fashion is lost on him as well as celebrity or actors, he probably hasn't watched a movie in full in years.

He probably can't operate a washing machine without having to look it up online, or know any common sense of a household.

Thinking about Vadim being young and thinking he knows it all.

Because well, he's young, he knows several languages, guns, gun math, quick on his wits, tactics, and a lot of stuff that's very specific to his profession..

But take him out of that area of use...
