Gonna make you feel old but Kate Bush's magnificent Aerial album is 20 years old today. TWENTY YEARS! i still think of it as her 'new' album. Giving it a birthday spin on this gorgeous 'goldy locks' honey-coloured vinyl.

Lovely Sam Ryder is cast in 2026's revival of Jesus Christ Superstar. After the success of Evita playing to the non-paying public from the balcony of The Palladium I hope the crucifixion sees him hoist aloft outside the Five Guys on Argyll Street next door to the theatre.

#CelebrityTraitors has been divine TV. The Faithful have been so collectively rubbish it's hard not to root for the Traitors in tonight's final but I won't be mad at all if Joe Marler, aka my next new husband, comes through in the end. Let's call this collage, erm, 'appreciation'. #ThatBeardThough

Well, well, well. Seems the Government is not happy with the EHRC's Code of Practice guidance after all. 👀
You'll have to ignore the buckets of anti-trans campaigning commentary in the piece, but the basic news is quite simple. The EHRC has failed to get the government to accept its anti-guidance in haste. Something is holding it up, perhaps for another a year www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/...

My work @londonfriend.bsky.social is working with @lgbthero.org.uk to run a new survey asking about LGBTQ+ people's experience of accessing (or trying to access) support for drugs, alcohol or chemsex to help us improve service provision. Please share/complete as appropriate!
Have you ever tied to get support around drugs, alcohol or chemsex?

The EHRC urging the Government to rush through its much-derided new guidance seems unusual behaviour for an impartial body, particularly a day after some serious criticism from the Council of Europe's commissioner that the approach will threaten human rights. Makes you think they have an agenda...
We've written to @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social to request the government to revoke the 2011 services code and make our updated version statutory. It accurately reflects the law and updated guidance is urgently needed: www.equalityhumanrights.com/media-centre...

It continues to be an absolute treat to watch Venus Williams at 45 years old play some sublime tennis, best part of a decade after most of her contemporaries usually hang up their racquets. She's through to the third round of the US Open women's doubles with Leylah Fernandez. Just utterly joyful.

Props to @transactualuk.bsky.social With little confidence in the EHRC's process in conducting their consultation on the Code of Practice they're ensuring the direct responses of individuals and organisations are getting in front of Ministers.
The EHRC don't want your views; TransActual are challenging Government Ministers to do better!

We had no faith that the EHRC would conduct this consultation professionally, fairly or transparently. We asked individuals and organisations to send us copies of their consultation responses.
