There is a certain inevitability that the actual public holiday part of the Long weekend is the wet, grey, miserable one. @aeshna.bsky.social says that's what you get for still having a Union Jack on your flag...

If anyone had asked me to guess what the top of the Premier League table would look like at this stage, it would not have been this! Especially impressive from Sunderland, given they were in League 1 as recently as 2022!

At the Fork and Brewer for post-Ingress Anomaly event drinks. So far, one person figured out I must do work for his employer from seeing my deployments around his workplace and another realized we'd chatted at the monthly First Tuesday security event. Yep, Wellington is indeed a small place!

Just finished watching the James Blunt: One Brit Wonder documentary. Very amusing stuff, as is he. Once again, I rather regret his music isn't really to my taste! That said, we reckon if he shows up round here, we might have to give it a go...

Trying not to be too judgemental but I'm pretty sure they didn't tap in on Snapper and not sure they're going to be able to pay the fare in cash. #birds

Slightly disturbing to see PB Tech selling 128GB flash drives for NZ$10 .75, not least because my first PC had a then cavernous 90MB hard disk (which cost a lot more than that)!

Photos from Spring Into Tawa yesterday. Second year in a row it didn't rain; inconceivable! Seems to have expanded (lot more food stalls for a start) and moved a bit South along the main road.
