I underestimated how tiresome moving would be in-between doing like 2 different conventions. Ugh.

Fortunately, I kinda just have a perpetual con-setup in my bag ready to go so there's not too much to do for BLFC. I just haven't been drawing as much as I had hoped I'd be. :T

So at the dentist today they were doing a filling and the drill(?) malfunctioned for a second, or she lost her grip, or I dunno WHAT but now I have a new nightmare core memory oh boy. :3

Didn't do any damage fortunately and I'm surprised I managed to stay fairly still and fought the urge to flail.

You are an incredibly resourceful and strong man, dude. Take your time, be upset, feel your feels, do what you gotta do. You deserve genuine family, whether they're blood relatives or not.

I don't think she understands the amount of damage she did to me and as it's been years and years since everything happened (like at least 25) I get like... guilty about it?

You're entirely right, it's just a hard subject for me to talk about with her, I guess. :S

It'd be nice to have the control and being able to do more variations without feeling like I have to bulk order would be nice.

I just moved and am working on setting up the office/studio area and I was thinking about this a bit! I personally order thru a printer and sell the prints directly at conventions. I would like to eventually get my own printer, though.

Same person. Basically the last time we talked about it, she told me she's been able to forgive herself and move on and I need to do the same.

But it feels different when *she* does it. It feels worse. More personal. I get pulled back to be a child again and it fucks with me more than it should. I went to therapy as a kid for all this. I should be over this. X_x

Yeeeeah. It's at least something I can look at fondly. Like I made it with genuine love and I still care about the guy (from a distance), but it feels a bit weird.

I think I'm almost out of stock of it anyway so I might just toss the rest into some print packs to move em out at this point.

The piece above was a direct response to the shittiest letter she ever sent me a few years ago. I stopped talking to her for months. Eventually, Both of us agreed we wanted the other in our lives despite our differences. I love my mom, i really do. It's just hard
to be honest with her.

I always fumble, trying to talk to her about it because I don't like the idea of telling her one of her most dear values is something that causes me stress. I dont want to break her heart.

She's the reason I rejected religion, but it's given her so much purpose I dont want to fight her on it.

So does anyone have advice on how you kindly ask your religious mother to not send you Christian versus or things plastered with the cross/Jesus on it.

She's doing it out of genuine kindness and I know that... but I have trauma that makes me uncomfortable about it.

I've learned my lesson on making merch about partners... if we become exes, it's really awkward when people ask about the story behind it now. :/

I might just discontinue the print/try to make something new. It's a pretty cute piece just feels.. weird now.
