Let's finish the second day of the advanced programming lesson I give this week. I'm soooo late.
I'm as excited about it as I'm afraid, anyway I want it to be done so I can get back my evening and rework on my engine!
And yes I reallly like ECS, what gives?

3 hours later,I have finally finished the exercice,I have a version using "Array Of Struct" running at 75fps, and an improved "Struct Of Array" running a 140 fps. We will go from the first to the second during the lesson. Now I need to find a way to introduce ECS smoothly.. but it'll be for tomorrow
The big issue it that the simulation is now way too complicated, it's not a good exercice anymore... back to the drawing board =p
I think I will go the cellular automata's way instead of using SPH.
Working on the second day of my advanced programming lesson for the only public game school in france (ENJMIN ftw \o/)
I'm doing a cool practical exercice where the students would have to use the CPU cache to optimize a fluid simulation. But I'm having too much fun with the simulation 😂
I see, I understand better the issue I had.
I'll retry with that in mind!
I'm also doing a fake OS game, with godot it's sooo easy. Yours is really moody, I need to take notes =p

.... maybe add a charge system of something like that to encourage player to move.
Outside of that I impressed, it's really really good! With better global progression it have Shotgun King potential for me!

If I may give you some feedbacks, the rythm can become a little dull, it lack some choice outside of combat for me, a risk/reward thingy. I didn't understood at all the drain system. A powerfull strategy is to stay in place....
Now about the physical vs virtual memory =p

We haven't talked much about Cursor Quest yet! So let me introduce you to ClemiDOS, the OS in which the game takes place! We spent the week redoing it's entire look and feel; we'll certainly change some things to distance ourselves from windows, but we're quite happy!
