Pirate Patrick Byrne’s castle circa 1790 built upon an old fortress mound which was supposedly the birth place of the Gael warrior Cu Cuchulain. Rumour has it there is pirate treasure buried in the mound and protected by a large black cat! Must get a diggin’.

My mum has early dementia. She forgets words but she is very happy in herself and is always in the garden with her dogs looking after the flowers. This got me thinking about my own possible dementia dream and I’m hoping my wife will be there caring for her flowers.
