My parents' generation was super racist, but they took pains to hide it from us. So a lot of young conservatives in the 90s and early aughts were earnest small government and/or evangelical types.

As I said, the overt racists and radicals had to form their own orgs.

I’m sorry. When I had frozen shoulder the first time, it was too painful to do anything, even to lie down, so I get it. I wouldn’t wish that kind of pain on anybody.

Remember when Stephen Miller claimed the Chicago apartment raid was on a building “filled with Tren de Aragua terrorists”?

Well, DHS has now dropped the number of alleged TdA members arrested in the building from 2 to 1.

Just one "verified" Tren de Aragua member and one U.S. citizen with an active warrant were among the 37, DHS said, without saying how it had verified that gang affiliation. Others taken that day, the agency said, were "illegal aliens."

There’s an idea that when someone dies before retirement age from a health issue, they must’ve neglected their health, so “everyone get checked.” I want to gently push back on the idea of it being all self-neglect & remind 1) some illnesses are incurable 2) bigoted healthcare system is shit 3) cost.

When their meeting was attacked by a group of white men, the confrontation left one white man dead. In response, white mobs, joined by federal troops, launched a days-long assault on the Black community, killing well over 100 Black men and women.

The headlines below show the cost to Black families and how a disinformation campaign was used to justify the violence against Black Americans. The claim, all too familiar, was that the Black organizers were trying to start a socialist revolution.

It always bothered me how service industry people are always expected to be happy, smiling, cheerful. Meanwhile, they aren't allowed to eat or drink for hours while working a physically demanding job.

Asking someone to be energetic when their blood sugar is low is diabolical.

Went downstairs to the temporary package room to get my package, went to the section of the wall that was in the photo the delivery person sent. I did not find that package.

instead of crashing out--because it overwhelming with everything everywhere--I just came back home and made a cocktail.
