Let’s be honest here, I’m just posting ramblings, but if you’re lucky, you might see pics of my cat, food, fiber art.

If you want to follow me, fine, but don’t get mad when we get lost.

As I read this, the theme song to the show Soap played in my brain!
Trump attacks a reporter, Habba quits a job she never really had, & farmers get a $12B bailout. Plus: Noem on thin ice, MTG spills GOP secrets, Milo goes nuclear on Benny Johnson, and RFK Jr. does airport pull-ups for some reason. Ron's daily bulletin is out now — only on Meidas+! Check it out:
Today in Politics, Bulletin 266. 12/8/25
… Trump has been asked multiple times if he would release the tape of the second boat strike. He said that he would. But today he was asked about it by a reporter who happened to be a black female, so...

The only one I know that’s stopping open here is attached to a university and is basically the school’s bookstore (but also sells regular books). I haven’t been in there in years since I no longer work in that area. I do miss them though.
I stopped at a Barnes and Noble today… they told me they were bought out by an investment firm and the firm got rid of all the chairs.

We should kill private equity before it’s too late.

I’m sick of this.

They took toy r us and now my B&N?

KILL THEM!

Is it too early to go to bed, cuz my body is ready.

Maybe I’ll go to the kitchen and type up my teas list.

I am so proud of myself!

Apparently, CPL does do a kind of year-end wrap.

Let me share my stats:

"You just saved $24.99 by using your library. You have saved $348.59 this past year and $1,201.75 since you began using the library!"

I feel like this entitles me to a lil treat!

Back home from Appts & Errands and I'm tired.

Went to the "electives" today: dentist and eye docs, then Michael's and the library. Walked to two of those places in between.

I really want to get on the couch and watch tv with the cat, but I'm gonna try to knock out 1-2 cookie recipes.

We'll see

The Supreme Court just set aside a 2nd Circuit decision upholding New York's requirement that all school students, public and private, obtain certain vaccinations, without any religious exemptions. It orders the 2nd Circuit to reconsider the ruling in light of SCOTUS' LGBTQ school books decision.

Okay, friends and internet neighbors, I have a surgery date of 12/31. That’s right, I’m going into 2026 with no belly button.
I want to clear another $750 of this GFM so I can rest in January. Can you help me do that?

I feel like I should take these glasses off and let my eyes rest, but the only thing I can do without my glasses is sleep, so I guess I'll have to figure something out.

Got an email that my student was marked absent and was asked to provide a reason for the absence.

I have no children.

Anyway, I kinda want to make a Bûche de Noel this year. I'm thinking: chocolate, banana rum, lime, hazelnut, spiced biscuit base.

I could form it in my loaf pan

Trying to get used to these new glasses and I hate them.

They’re progressive, but my eyes aren’t used to them so everything is wonky. It takes me about a day to get used to standard glasses, so I hope these get better soon.

This is the entire reason why the men who bring brides home from foreign lands: to be able to control someone. They couldn’t find a woman in their own country to control.

Separating a woman from her family, her customs, her language, her rights.

The immigration process simply becomes another vector of coercive control because there is no one to tell the victim that the abuse opens another path to citizenship and they can get help.
