Strong start to Series 2. I think Host is my favourite out of this bunch of 5. One of the first really weird monster Eps I recall. Next bunch of 5 has Ascension which introduced me to Nick Cave! Thanks for another entertaining episode, Bill.
Yes! We’re in to Season 2 of The X Files. New episode up now for your entertainment. Come and experience the joy! #TheXFiles

Another very enjoyable episode of @thesoundofcmoffatt.bsky.social. I’m sure everyone has a story of their own when it comes to “Independence”.
This week's stand out, standalone episode of The Sound Of is all about The Sound Of Independence!

I design all these album covers myself btw. I feel like I put more effort into them than the podcast itself.

🎶 Freedom fighters, come and go, Bloody righteous, and mentally slow 🎶

Love this song and the album it comes from. Top tier Roger Taylor and top tier episode lads, with some cracking songs.
Was that the Tubular Bells? Yeah, that was a tough listen. 😂😂.
Another terrific episode of @thesoundofcmoffatt.bsky.social. Loved hearing what songs mean Joy to Al the guests.
Rejoice, episode 3 is out now! This week is all about The Sound Of Joy.
Guaranteed to lift your mood!

Another thoroughly enjoyable episode. It’s great fun listening to the other guests to see if their “Firsts” follow a similar link to mine or if they are completely different. Great listening.
And we're back!
For this season I have designed album covers for each episode (please be kind)
Also if you go to the link you can find playlists for the featured songs as well!

This week's episode is The Sound Of Firsts and first up is the fabulous @fiotrethewey.bsky.social
I would take those type of stats with a “grain of salt”. As long as you are doing something you love and it’s bringing joy to someone else, then all power to you. I remember thinking I’d be happy if an only a few of my friends listened to our pod!
It was “As dry as a dead dingo’s donger”

Could be my favourite episode so far (apart from the down-under one of course!) Great songs and a great guest. I’d never heard of the movie, Threads, but was riveted to the conversion as the movie sounds rather disturbing and obviously left a deep impression on people who watched it in the 80s.
Episode 15 is out! Our v. special guest is author, journalist & "Threads" obsessive Chas Newkey-Burden who discusses this horrifying film. 5 fab tunes too, from Modern English, Billy Idol, Microdisney, Eurythmics & The Dubliners. Join us & @allthatchas.bsky.social

It was wonderful to hear Bill and Jessica talk about Jessica’s favourite episodes. Always great to hear the different generations share a love of something in common. Hambug and Anasazi are right up near the top for me as well.
On today's episode I invite my eldest daughter Jessica onto the program, to discuss her own journey with The X Files and her favourite episodes. Jess is as entertaining as she always is with some candid responses. Enjoy!

Thanks @kevbrowncanada.bsky.social and @cdmorrissette.bsky.social for another entertaining season of UCC. AFTP was the clear stand out for me.
4 albums. 8 sides. 8 episodes. We promised you a shorter, tighter season and we delivered it!

Our pal @scottkhaskin.bsky.social joins us as we wrap season 6 and discover who we're covering next!

Hard to argue with your rankings at the end Bill. Particular the ones in the “S” category. Erlenmeyer Flask would be my number 1 as well. James Wong and Glen Morgan were excellent writers for the X-Files. Really looking forward to Season 2 as there are some absolute classics.
Today's sixth episode is a wrap up of the first season of The X Files, where I will talk about the character developments, the writing teams, the direction, and countdown my ranking of the episodes from 24 to 1.

Heavy traffic on the ring road today meant I had ample time in the car to listen to parts 1 and 2.

Wonderful and fascinating guests and looking forward to the next “sound of”
It's finally here!
With 7 amazing guests and several months of hard work this is absolutely not how podcasts are usually made.
I think that once you listen you'll agree with me that it's something quite special.
The opening episode is so jam packed it had to be split in two!

Great! That’s tomorrow’s commute sorted 😀
Oh, wow, I missed that! I stopped watching Death in Paradise after the third series. May have to go back and watch the series with Ardal.
I had no idea about any of these bands, but once again, the guys at @bangpodcast.bsky.social brought it all to us with their usual enthusiasm and love of music which had me searching for these bands and songs far and wide.
Episode 14 is out! A journey around the world as we explore superb nuclear tunes from Nigeria, South Africa, Japan, Chile and Russia. We have educated ourselves a lot on this episode and hope you find lots to interest you and dig further... #80s #podcast

After months of work (and not so subtle hints) I can finally announce my new podcast 'The Sound Of' comes out in exactly ONE WEEK!

I chat with some truly spectacular guests about what makes music so important to them.

You can follow now wherever you get your podcasts!

I love that feeling of opening up brand new sporting gear.
Season 1 done already! Agree that the last 5 Eps in series 1 are fantastic. The “reveals” and “revelations” in those first 4-5 series were always great on first viewing and Erlenmeyer Flask is one of the all time best.
Episode 5 is up, discussing the final 5 episodes of Season 1 of The X Files. This is where it all begins to come together. Tune in for my take! #TheXFiles

I knew most of the songs this week! I had not heard of @scarredforlife.bsky.social before so will check them out. I vividly remember the Nakita music video from back in the day.
Episode 13 is out! A nuclear warm welcome to Dave and Ste from @scarredforlife.bsky.social. We discuss amazing songs by Nik Kershaw, Sting, Fishbone, Elton John and Kim Wilde... Listen, subscribe and engage.

What a lovely message to wake up to today 😊. I’m too scared to go back and listen to what we sounded like at the start 😂. As Ian said, one of the absolute best things about doing this podcast is the people we get to meet and now count as friends.
