Fujishima art study with Arche! Not traced, just eyeballed it and moved stuff around to look more accurate. Process is written in the alt text.

My reason for the study is that I want to make some Tales ocs, but want to make it look like it could be official art, so I decided to do a study and practice coloring on a different file, which I won't post since its original content and not Tales. The original sketch I made of Arche. I eyeballed the hair and use it as the point to where I can draw and connect everything together. For example, since the tips of Arche's bangs touched the center of her eyebrow, I could figure out where to place the iris next, then the lashes, etc etc.

My attempt at drawing and coloring Arche freehand. I used the default water color and gouache pens from Clip studio Paint, while the Line pen is custom. I altered proportions during the line art phase by shrinking it to the reference and seeing where the proportions were off. I then went back to the line art layer and adjusted it from memory, trying not to use the reference as a base. The coloring I winged it, just trying to get the colors right, but ultimately the values and hues are off. It's all practice at the end of the day!

The original drawing I used as reference. The image I took from pinterest, but is probably from the twitter account or a news article that showcased official art drawn by Fujishima sensei and Inomata sensei for the 30th anniversary.

Not to mention that Shadows' models actually move in a 3d space and still have their cute charm. If Heroes had that it could've been actually more enjoyable in my opinion (and I'm saying this as someone who enjoys the map pixel art era more than 3d)

FE Shadows, as cute as it is, truly is missed potential since the concept is great but Intsys does not want players to realize they can actually make better mobile games. If you could control unit directions and have a larger group to play with it could be fun! But alas, Heroes must reign supreme
