When I saw Jen Psaki interviewing him on her show, she seemed extremely nonconfrontational. She gave him a lot of time to claim he was being attacked for nothing. I don’t know if she’s a liberal or not.

1/ I think they’re in flux. Like most big retailers, historically they’ve donated more to Republicans, but it looks like they turned around during the 2020 election cycle, so that’s good. I’m seeing that they caved on DEI under pressure.

In an age of monopolization, that’s pretty much the norm. I remember the old hardware stores with wooden floors and all kinds of weird little shelves and cubbies. None left!

I read somewhere that Ace is a franchise kind of thing, so that each one has different owner/management. I’ll have to look into that.
