Milwaukee DSA, in partnership with City Workers in AFSCME, led a public pressure campaign to increase wages for city workers by 4%.
The Common Council just voted UNANIMOUSLY to overrule Mayor Cavalier Johnson's veto. MILWAUKEE DS SA EST 2015 This COULD NOT have been done without the public pressure campaign organized by DŠA Milwaukee LWAUKEE DS M EST. 2016 Alongside City Workers in AFSCME AFSCME And of course, the more than 500 unique people who sent more than 8,900 emails to City Hall on this issue! A year later, they won: no more mandatory shifts, voluntary sign-ups, and double pay for those who work.

Hey Milwaukeeans! Tell your councilperson that our city workers deserve this bare minimum 4% wage at the very least, and ask them to override Mayor Johnson's veto.

These are quite literally the folks who keep our water clean, our neighborhoods safer, our refuse removed, and so much more.
