I replayed Conker for the first time in like 20 years the other month, and I was surprised at how much of the game was just Pushing Something. The script is still burned into my brain from my teen years, but playing it??! Kinda sucks lol

I’ve never felt that I was losing anything playing RE2 that way, and i still love booting it up every couple of years. I guess the “standard” play style doesn’t interest me, but I like the game otherwise enough that I’ll play through the whole thing unable to die but still having a great time

I still haven’t quite crystallized my thoughts on my preferred game difficulty. On the one hand, VVVVVV is a top 5 all time game for me, one that I’ve 100%d a few times even though it really busts my chops. OTOH, I only replay the n64 version of Resident Evil 2 so I can use invincibility cheats.

The story of how I own this game is indicative of its “success”. A few months after it came out, I went to my local store to buy Gears Of War 3, and there was a sale of “Buy any 360 game, get Fable III for $5” lmao. They wanted that stock *out* of the store!

Evolution: The World Of Sacred Device for the DC is one of my personal all-time favorite RPGs, and I had no idea it was made by the same developers as Baroque until last night lol. Even has the same composer! More light-hearted than Baroque, and almost certainly a 6/10 to most, but a 10/10 to me!

That was the very first time I’d heard it dropped in a game. I have clear memories of how shocked I was as a teen, hearing it for the first time. I’m glad someone else remembers :)
