In my heart, in my pocket,
Like a hair in a locket:
I carried you here.

I carried you here,
Amongst the memories of magical moments
& nerve-crunching nightmares.
I carried you far across the bitterest of trails
& trials that punished me
for daring to dream outside my stifling box.

I carried the guilt,
Gilded into tears that you shed in a daily deluge of drama.
A torrential downpour of disappointment,
Sealed with a cursed kiss for me & me alone.

I carried my head,
Carried it onwards, carried it far,
Even though heavy with a burden that
The Universe packed into every morsel of memory.
I carried on carrying it on.

Onwards to the ocean of stars,
Where I would release myself & become nothing
but blissful, background radiation for all of eternity.

Cockneys would maybe use "wanker" or "slaaaaag"! Maybe "Muppet" if they were being safe for work!!
