The Sommer looks particularly interesting
Sui generis, pure genius. He just gets better, doesn't he?

I love this album. Can't remember how I found out about it, some ten years ago now, but I'm so pleased I did. It took three copies to get a clean one mind you
Stunning recital this morning from Mishka Momen Rushdie at Kings Place, linked to this recording

Would love to have seen that band
The Wynton antidote, always was, always will be. He knew how to play the tradition.
I loved those albums, had a near complete set of the studio dates. Lost them...
I'm streaming something now but also looking up the cost of the 50 year old LPs at the same time...
No, I get that. I do stream quite a bit and have about 200 downloads on Bandcamp but not having the physical entity means I more readily forget about it
Yep, download in desperation but that's more often now, US releases with no UK distribution seem increasingly common. Labels like Relative Pitch, Aerophonic...
It's been like that the other way for some time, we have to add another 20% sales tax too. I feel your pain
I agree. Like most great artists there's peaks, troughs and self-indulgence along the way.

I'm giving away this signed 1st edition h/b of my new novel (it has a tiny jacket rip which means I wouldn't sell it) to one person who reposts this.

You might like it if you like:
Folkloric creatures
Old records
Intricate psychedelic stories
The idea of circular time

All shares much-appreciated.

Very nice selection indeed. I've been flirting with Ahti, Högberg and Ghosted . The four secondhand records (not flooring)are all very good. Enjoy!
possibly Ch for Choral and then a catalogue number...
Thanks Simon. Who'd've thought it. Nice and niche too!
It was both of those, it was packed, steamy and great fun and I was younger back then! Jazz Café in London. He played it over here again a couple of years ago. He's quite a regular visitor
Saw them live when it was released, great gig
Enjoy it, now it's officially declared! MM, a major hole in my listening I really need to rectify
