That’s amazing!!! The role I had was working with healthcare professionals on how to provide all type patients all forms of contraception options. It was a lot of teaching them on how to be inclusive from their verbiage to reading patients body languages and being familiar with all types of BC.

The one job I absolutely loved was in reproductive health. But sadly got laid off due to COVID. Would love to go back into the field but you’re right about the pay because it’s nowhere where it should be!

Once I really started investing in my health I changed my whole Avengers team of Doctors. I haven’t been able to find a Black dentist near me but I got a Black Therapist, PCP, and Eye Doctor. So 3/4 is okay with me. 😅

I'm bound by HIPAA but I have stories for days of medical "professionals" screwing over and killing Black people. And this is present times. So yes, go to the doctor, but be VERY vigilant

My swim class is at the same time as this little 3 year old girl who cheered me on when I jumped into the deep end of the pool for the first time. Whenever I see her she always smiles at me. 🥹

Did a bunch of treading in the beginning of class and then afterwards during freestyle my legs CLOCKED OUT. Practiced jumping again. Still got a fear of jumps but I manage to them. My instructor and I said I probably should do one more month of classes to get over it.

We built stamina today! Worked on kicks with a kick board. Went from the shallow end to the deep end and half way back before stopping.

Learned to do side breaths. Wayyy better than rollovers. Practiced more treading. Every class we end with me jumping into the deep end into a back float. I struggle every time because I’m scared to jump. 😞
