I think my only critique of the patch is that Lupa was the most underutilized. I think she could've benefitted from lines like worrying/reacting about Cart's 'death' more. It's a really big cast so this is bound to happen, but Ciaccona, Brant, and Roccia felt more utilized imo. So yeah.

Overall, it's such a peak patch. I don't even know how they can make the next patches have such impact too. But I trust Kuro's writing. I'm honestly so hyped for what's next. The whole thing's living rent-free in my mind that I had to make this account lmao

17. The Rover and Abby lore, relationship, and character development are really appreciated. We've already gotten a glimpse of what the past Rover is like from the Shorekeeper patch. So this whole fighting with everyone "you're not alone" thing is super important for Rover's development.

15. Arsinosa, Dragon of Dirge, and Lorelei were such great additions. We have interacted with those echoes before so it made a lot of sense for them to come and help.

16. 2.7 had lots of great OST. My fave is when Galbrena gave Rover an earbud lol so extra, so cool love it

14. Fenrico, Avidius, and Mya were great characters. I wasn't prepared for Avidius at all. To be fair, I wasn't prepare for Mya and Fenrico during the previous patches either. It's so tragic but it's so good. I hope we see Rover in the future still thinking of Avidius, since he's unreal...

11. And of course, no one prepared me for the login screen lore. As a day 1 player, the Saving Light OST and also remastered? Soooo much peak. When you start the game, it addresses you as "Rover from afar" so now I wonder if that also means something deeper. Also, any Rover lore is great tbh!

10. As a PGR player, I'm already used to being hurt by Kuro. But man, the way the patch started with Rover having a nightmare about his friends, then to the point of us seeing their deaths in the Dark Tide, until seeing gravestones wtf 😭 My heart wasn't ready for that holy sht. It's so good though~

We need more of this! Also of course, Calcharo is finally here! The way I screamed, dang. So much hype. I hope Kuro knows they did such a frickin good job and give us more of that. Also I wish Black Shores becomes our hub or something. Like hoping we feel it more in-game (a permanent room?)

to stick, you can't treat characters as disposables. Besides, it's a sht feeling to be attached to a character, only for them to never appear again now matter how relevant they should be.

7. Qiuyuan for someone who wasnt on screen a lot of time, is very impactful. A blind man about to capture Scar huh. Since he mentioned Jinhsi, I think Jinhsi asked help from the capital Mingting and he was sent to hunt him. We'll find out next patch but that's my guess xD

6. The Phrolova closure is appreciated. A part of me felt betrayed cause I cried buckets during her patch lmao. But it did make sense for her to be here. I can't tell if this is really the end of her Fractsidus journey or if she'll end up in their hands again. Her story's really interesting.

There's no way Rover would let her go through it again 😭 My heart couldn't take it. Tears aside, I'm happy to see how give a lot of advice in the patch. Without Cart, it made sense for her to take a bigger role too. I was really glad just cause when it comes to writing, Cantarella is really my fave

My girl didn't need more trauma geez. And do you remember Rover's face when she volunteered to enter the Dark Tide? And how she got mad. Subtle scenes but they mean so much to me. She of all would know what it's like so she offered. We already saw her relive her trauma through her companion quest +

I just never thought she'd be my favorite all throughout. I remember crying during the Gilberto scene. I was just... 'KURO SHE'S BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH, STOP THIS.' I also felt so sad since we delivered Imperator's message before saying that the Fisalias are "free" now. Only for this to happen... +

5. Cantarella will always be my MVP of 2.x. Rinascita has a lot of really lovable characters but I really ended up cheering for Cantarella all the way through. I know she's mostly known for fanservice though I don't particularly mind it. It's part of her letting others think whatever of her. But +

showing it. Despite the Dark Tide whispers, you can see her issue orders and think like a leader. She isn't just some random authority in the game, I felt it during her quest. She shined here on 2.7 too. And it made sense for her to take reins with Septimont more used to hunting than Ragunna

I'm also glad that Galbrena didn't really "abandon" the Angel name cause of being edgy and stuff. There's just so many layers on how she lived with the Galbrena name and she's not ashamed to be Angel. I really like it

and the character's past being slapped on your face without real connection to the story. The visuals, cutscenes, and 2D cinematics are as always, amazing. She's perfect for the Black Shores and I think the reunion with Augusta was done pretty well even if a really small part. It made sense to me +

2. Galbrena lore is amazing. It wasn't draggy or "too much" even if she's just introduced this patch I think. There's also reason why we had to see her past and that's to "Anchor" her, which was a concept explored in the Iuno patch. Like it wasn't random 'hey new character you should know' +

1. Phoebe got the closure and attention she needed imo. She wasn't AS involved but it's good to see the game not forget that she's a devotee and was starting to question her faith some patches ago. Seeing her take the leadership role, interact with Cart, and change things in the Order is amazing ^^
