Strange period. Good pace by Montreal. A lot of pucks in Seattle end. Bad offensive zone penalties. Shots on goal are just 5-4.

Years later we discovered a rare exception - Tony Tarasco. But his career as a full time OF ended after his one season in Montreal.

Standing in the Expos clubhouse one night in the 80s waiting for Chris Speier who was still on the field doing a live post game interview. I picked up one of Speier’s bats that was leaning up against his locker. As I took a slow practice swing or two Speier walked in and without looking at me (1)
