Here's another new DuoZuplixo feature: If you're stuck, take a look at the Minimap! It will show you any nearby Orbs! If you don't want it on screen all the time, you can turn it off in the pause menu.

I ran into difficulties getting the original MIDIs to sound correct, so this was the best I could do. The pinned comment on the YouTube video goes in a little more detail and has a download link to the original MIDI files.
You'll also notice that the layer with the objects & terrain is now brighter. I've also added an option in the options menu that lets the player switch between a dynamic and static camera. The static camera will always stay in the middle of the screen and never zooms in or out. (3/3)
I've planned to do this since before the SAGE demo but couldn't figure out how to implement it until after the demo was finished. Now, you'll respawn at the location of the last Zuplonium Orb you've collected. (2/3)

The game uses Godot's compatibility mode as a graphics renderer. Compatibility mode uses OpenGL, which might be incompatible with your GPU.
A demo of my latest game, DuoZuplixo, will be at SAGE this year! DuoZuplixo is a 2D platforming collect-a-thon with some RPG elements.

I'll end this thread with one last fact: did you know that there's actually 2 other secret DEMYSTIX characters? Play either demo in multiplayer on April 1st to find out who they are! (8/8)
......but looking at them next to Nora like this made me realise that they're still distinct enough that with some changes to their personalities I could bring them back sometime. (7/8)
Later on I ended up merging parts of Marcia & Loretta to create Nora, Dr. Zuplow's daughter. Because of this I originally wasn't going to use either character again... (6/8)
I won't talk much about the comic as there as still some aspects that I plan to use as inspiration for DuoZuplixo, but I will say that it scrapped GarughAde entirely and had Dr. Zuplow as the main villain instead. It would've been revealed that Marcia was related to Zuplow at some point. (5/8)
After DEMYSTIX was scrapped, I attempted to revive it as a comic in mid 2024. This comic would be scrapped shortly after as I was going through a rough time at that point and the comic ended up being too dark and serious. I didn't feel like working on something like that at the time. (4/8)
She was fully implemented into both demos, but I never finished the game, and there's no way to play as her in either demo. She could throw her scythe and have it come back like a boomerang. She also had a slide ability that could be used to access secret areas. (3/8)
This character was called Loretta. I had envisioned her as some sort of mentor figure for Marcia. You'd end up fighting her during Marcia's story due to some disagreements between the two. Unfortunately I have no way of recording her gameplay right now so all I can show you is her sprites (2/8):

Some of you may remember that back in 2022-2023 I was making my first indie game, DEMYSTIX. The game had 3 playable characters, Marcia, Greflek & David, but, you may recall that I had teased an unlockable 4th character throughout development. (1/8)
With the DuoZuplixo demo ready I'll be taking a break from the project for around a month. I definitely still want to work on this (and I have some cool things planned), but I've spent the last 6 months constantly working on stuff so I thought it would be best to take a break for a little while.
