The hardest thing about being an ex-vangelical is having no place to sing where no one cared how you sounded. I grew up a white kid in Korean churches, I miss the food and the aunties and the community.

I grew up in a place that gets “a lot” of rain. I’ve also lived in KC for a decade. I was SHOCKED the first summer, how heavy the KC rain was. I never understood why the gutters and storm drains were so deep til it rained.

We get a persistent drizzle, here. KC had a monsoon season, annually.
