We must #ChangeTheNarrative!

Dr Beth Upton was fully acquitted of all wrongdoing in yesterday’s Employment Tribunal decision. Yet she has been vilified by a toxic & poisonous media for months.
It must stop!

Congratulations, and solidarity, to you, Beth!

Some good and some bad from the judgement. As usual, the GCs biggest win was just poor management. I feel for the Dr. She has been dragged through hell due to all this. Just because she wanted to live her true authentic self.

A Labour government passed the Equality Act. A Labour government was in power when the Supreme Court interpreted it to not mean what ministers at the time were clear it was intended to mean. The Labour government response should have been to legislate to fix it. Not doing so was a cowardly betrayal.

It's funny seeing all over the headlines. Scottish labour consider challenging Keir due to May election slaughter.

How come it's because polls are looking terrible. Not because they think Keir is just awful.

He could destroy the country but as long as the polls look good they are fine with him.

Kishwer Falkner's term as Chair of the EHRC, a term characterized by her willingness to use that vital guardian of the human rights of the vulnerable to wage war on trans people, ends today. THREAD

Amazing to see such a huge amount raised in such a short amount of time!

So the ehrc is changing their positions tomorrow. After years at the helm. What has Falkner actually done that's positive.

Can a single MP actually give a list of anything positive or helpful that has been done under her tenure?

I believe there should be an independent equality group. 1/3

So either Labour need to ask candidates to step aside for the Greens to take on Reform....

Or actually bring in a fair democratic process where everyone's votes count equally.

It's time for Proportional Representation.

Transphobes don't just hate trans people, but they're generally quite shit - racists, islamophobes, shit politics, that's what they stand for
When I said our fight is one, I meant it, the same people coming after one minority also target others
Legitimate concerns need space, hate doesn’t

Amazing to see. We are now more than half the membership of reform and possibly more than half of labours membership.

We will find out if they announce their figures after the deputy results.
And here it is, a doubling of membership in less than 2 months.
WELCOME EVERYONE!

Thats the effect the Politics of Hope can have.

LET'S KEEP GOING, LET'S KEEP GROWING.
🚨 BREAKING 🚨

📈 Since the election of our new leadership team, our membership has doubled, now sitting at more than 140,000.

And this is just the beginning: join.greenparty.org.uk

One thing I do think we need to remember. Despite how god awful Reform are. Not everyone voting for them is awful or bad.

A lot of people are desperate for a change and farage has had years of putting it into their minds he will create a change.

People know what we have isn't working. 1/2

This is amazing. Can the @greenparty.org.uk do the same???
Scottish Green members have voted for a motion denouncing the EHRC as illegitimate, saying that it is “an enforcer or culture-war assaults” on trans people. #sgpconf

I know @zackpolanski.bsky.social talk about wealth inequality a lot.

But when you look at figures it genuinely is insane the difference.

Richest in Britain - Hinduja family £35b

Average wage UK, £37,400 a year.

It would take 936 thousand years at the average wage to catch up. Nevermind interest

The EHRC removed the "interim guidance" that has been devastating the lives of trans people for months from it's website.

We wonder why...👀

I still struggle to understand why people think it's a good idea to leave the echr just so we can take away human rights.

The whole point of it is to stop things like this happening. Not just leave when you don't like some people having rights.
October 15, 2025 at 10:35 AM
And we won't stop there!

More people are seeing the work that not only @zackpolanski.bsky.social @rachelmillward.bsky.social and @mothinali.bsky.social are putting in for the country. But also the people working alongside them. In smaller positions and locally for our future

When ‘anti-trans’ events like FiLiA are allowed to take place in Brighton of all places - a city celebrated for its inclusivity and diversity - it’s a stark reminder that visibility and allyship matter more than ever.

Not UK but amazing to see. I truly hope more people like him lead the charge against MAGA and work on a better world for all. Filled with care and compassion
UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

Ever since I finished Question Time, Reform have massively been on the attack.

Including a rant from Richard Tice entirely designed to distract from Reform and Russia.

Everyone should know about Nathan Gill, the bribes from Russia and the link to Reform.

In a country with ever increasingly hostile talk to and about trans people. To see @zackpolanski.bsky.social fight back against Piers Morgan and stick to his principles without giving leeway both makes me happy and sad.

Sad because this is how more people should be, not backing down to aggression.
