Ships biscuits, aka Hard Tack.
Very simple to make, taste surprisingly good. Might make a meal with another batch where they can be dipped in a hearty soup to give some moisture.
Historic recipes are fun, though wholegrain flour is needed next time for a more authenticity and tastie #baking

Ahh @badsquiddogames.bsky.social, I was reminded of picking up and painting these thematic pieces. They really transform a display or tabletop scenario. I think about how the halflings/hobbits would have to roll temptation checks to stop them getting distracted from their orders by the salted pork!
