The Final Shape made me laugh and cry more than I ever have playing D2, since before we lost Cayde. I want to feel all that emotion again. I want to make memories alongside my fellow players and NPCs again. I want to see the SOUL of Destiny return.

Think you guys can make that happen, Bungie?

Please keep the Roguelike elements, though, use those again. They help break up the monotony of missions. And they’re really fun when implemented amongst multiple players.

Less sweat, more fun. We’re looking to chill and have a good time gaming, and also be badass soldiers the enemy flinches from.

To put it bluntly, quit fumbling around like a first-timer in the bedroom and ASK US what we want. And then actually make it happen instead of giving us all these half-assed, experimental micro changes as compensation. We know you’re capable of better. You’ve done better. We’ve seen it.

I also hope Renegades ends up being fun, even if I can’t hold much hope for it exactly being fantastic or anything.

But if you expect real progress to happen, you MUST listen to your fanbase. Host polls and surveys again.

The most recent campaign was really enjoyable story and mechanics wise, all building up well to the climax and setting the stage for the next conflict, but clearly the filler material was not very well thought through. I hope by next year the presence of new management will allow you to rebalance.

Speaking of, the reason this current “season” fails so hard? There’s no story. There’s no investment. No involvement. Oh, Sundaresh did a smash-and-grab on the Tower, time to go through the old Cosmodrome zones recycled from Rise of Iron over and over and literally nothing else.

Can D2 not be more… dynamic and filled with life behind the scenes? Ones that aren’t here only for a season then gone forever afterwards?

Why does content keep getting shelved? That’s no way to attract or keep new players, they miss out on all the important story between campaigns.

Make Destiny 2 feel a little less like a dang 9-5 JOB where we’re doing the same old grind every day. I know we’re Guardians, we’re saving the world 24/7 but… what about beyond that?

Give us back our freakin’ fishing!! Sometimes we want a break from all the combat while playing the game, and there’s not much point wandering around looking for resource chests we don’t need. The fishing was so chill, building the fish tank up was enjoyable. 😔

Let us have alternative activities.

Get rid of timed stuff for all but raids! Time limits to bonus rewards in missions is great. Time limits to being kicked out of said missions is not, especially when Exotic ones’re already so long and you’re forced to go through multiple times to complete it. It wastes *our* time. It sucks. 💢

Let’s have matchmaking automatic for everything. Get rid of loadout restrictions punishing us for favoring our standby weapons, and encourage trying out new ones by being able to unlock unique mods through their use, not just blueprints of weapons with limited mods attached; let us COLLECT things!

You know what I think we need? Bigger fireteams. More camaraderie. Raise the team cap for more than just pvp and raids. Let us have six people rolling through Strikes introducing dungeon/raid mechanics without the dire stresses of the real deals (practice, for a fraction of the rewards of course).

It was so COOL in the Final Shape campaign when the original three Vanguard plus Crow were there with us, whether they were actually killing anything or not. It was BALLER being able to fight alongside a whole army of fellow Guardians in the very last mission against the Witness.

Ikora or Saint could do Void-based buffs, Crow Solar, etc., even Zavala and Osiris, while Lightless, now have adapted to use Stasis and Strand respectively. We’ve got at least one NPC for every Light and Darkness category. Let them fight alongside us in the field, let them banter as we go!

I want us to have missions where a rotation of Vanguard members join us as NPCs, like you have with Shaxx’s Redjacks. Only it could be Shaxx himself, Ikora, Crow, even Zavala, and you know why? Because depending on whose Light type, a fireteam could get a related buff for that mission.

The old soul of Destiny 2 just isn’t there anymore. Many changes since the glory days and so few in the right direction in spite of quite a few banger seasons just a couple years ago.

I want to really reconnect with my favorite characters again…
