This afternoon I built Classic Class DotM Bumblebee, and he's pretty nice! He has a full frame with pretty great articulation, a decent level of colour separation, and thankfully includes an alternate masked head that will stay permanently attached...!

My fifth Shining Version 4 figure is the angelic SG Starscream, sporting a new tetrajet Seeker build that shares only the shoulder pads, chest and upper back pieces from the original Galaxy Version 1 seeker build. I absolutely love his all-white look and fancy energon swords - Suitably spiffy!

My fourth Shining Version 4 figure is another retread, IDW Megatron! Like IDW Optimus Prime, this is also an upgrade of his prior Galaxy Version 6 figure, but this time with no retooling. Instead, Megatron also comes packed with a static figurine of Ravage and a yellow Rodimus badge - Very cute!

I'm in two minds about the pack-in figures Action Edition kits are coming with now - On the one hand I think them not being Galaxy Version style is a bit of a missed opportunity, but on the other hand as somebody who collects those figures I'd hate for some to be locked behind big ticket items

Speaking of Primes, yesterday I unboxed the good doctor Quintus Prime! Such a unique design and toy, I absolutely love his skirt of tendrils, glowing clear legs and funky squid spaceship alt-mode. I understand he isn't everybody's favourite, but I'm certainly a fan.

Here we go! My first Shining Version 4 figure is the return of a favourite, Shockwave! This is a major upgrade of his GV4 figure with a similar shiny finish to his GV7 and Classic Class counterparts, the new joints introduced in GV8, and a brand new LED torso block - He also comes with the Nemesis!

The third and final additional Sembo Block Metal Cardbot figure I got is Mega Ambler, who was the first figure from this line I saw photos of, which makes getting him in-hand nice. I really like this guy, with his large number of prints and really cool head sculpt and weapon. A satisfying finale!
