In my experience it does have a delicate flavor, but you have to use quite a bit more than you use to color something.

These sorts of things are usually overly specific examples.

For instance, in Duluth, MN it's illegal to tie a whale to a fire hydrant.

That is true, but only because it's illegal to tie ANY animal to a fire hydrant.

Keeping a donkey in a bathtub would probably fall under 'cruelty' laws.
