And now the update is out for iPadOS and iOS too! Yay!
The update is out for macOS. The user followed up and confirmed that I did fix it now (Thanks again!). The update for iPadOS and iOS is still waiting for review (there are a lot of developers right now releasing updates for the new OS so this is understandable). Should be soon.
A very minor update to 6.2.1 is on the way for my iKeeper app. A user was kind enough to point out a case where one of my bug fixes didn't work as intended (Thanks!). All fixed and the app has been submitted to Apple and is just waiting for review. 🙂
This never gets old! Always fun to see this on the App Store!

I would love to use the clear variant of liquid glass for the floating control layer in my Gradiance app update, unfortunately it doesn't adapt to darker colors (or lighter colors if in Dark Mode) and so I guess I'm going to have to go with the regular (frosted) variant of liquid glass instead.

This wasn't actually the solution (at least, not for what I was doing with Core Data in my projects), but still good to see how it might work when I eventually switch to using SwiftData
And previews are now restored in my iKeeper project and seem to be working fine. 😮‍💨
Now that I think I have Finance previews sorted out (finally - I think)… the good news is that I never messed up the data in iKeeper locally - so never messed up iCloud. So as long as I fix iKeeper like I did Finance the previews should work without all the confusion. 🙂🤞
Actually it was more the reverse here. Developer side of iCloud got messed up from the local data. I fixed things and tried running from Xcode and of course that synced back down the messed up data... and then when I opened the app store version of the app the messed up local data went to iCloud
If that is the case, I think it is the local file itself that is the problem here as if it opens with the development or production version of my app it is trying to sync local changes to either side of iCloud. Or am I not understanding this correctly?
… but if I download my app and run that it will sync from the production side of iCloud from the local data? The same local data in both cases?
Wait a moment. 😮‍💨 My #SwiftUI friends… So if I preview in canvas or preview in app and have definitely turned off cloudKit container options AND ensure my mock data is inMemory that should be fine. If I run the project (from Xcode) it should sync to development side of iCloud from the local data…
Oh, and before I turned it off / on, I also had Xcode make a clean build folder as well.
So. I had AI in Xcode check to see if there was anything else (after the last fix) that could result in my in-memory mock data being persisted or synced with iCloud. It said no. So I tried the age old method of dealing with weird problems - turn iMac off, turn it back on. It seems to be working. 😀
