KJS United rolls past West Milford tri-op to win North, Co-Op sectional title
By Mike Gurnis Adversity has been a theme all season long for KJS United. Whether it was overcoming injuries, illnesses, or even something as an unexpected power outage before practice at its home rink the day before the sectional final, the program has been through it all this season. It suffered another blow when it lost its best defenseman in Jake Prunty during the team's semifinal win over West Essex-Caldwell to an injury.

Devastating news to share. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Dave Hansen, the West Morris and former long-time Madison coach, who tragically passed away on Tuesday at the age of 52.

Morristown-Beard girls drop heartbreaker to Princeton Day in state semifinal
A valiant effort came up short for the Morristown-Beard girls on Wednesday. Despite taking the lead on two separate occasions, and being out-shot by a 44-20 margin, fourth-seeded Morristown-Beard saw its season come to an end in overtime in a 4-3 loss to top-ranked Princeton Day in the state semifinals at Codey Arena. It marked the second-consecutive year that Morristown-Beard's season ended in overtime in the semifinals.

O’Gwen plays the hero as Delbarton wins in OT to advance to Non-Public final
By Mike Gurnis With just four goals to his name this season, defenseman Sean O'Gwen's name is not one that comes to mind when discussing the top threats to play the offensive hero for Delbarton in a big game. It originally appeared he'd have that role when he broke a 3-3 tie with 38 seconds left in regulation of Wednesday night's Non-Public semifinal against St.

“It kills me. I’ve got a little heart issue that probably not doing real well right now, but yeah, it’s tough to watch. It’s just one of those days where everything’s just going crazy.”- Randolph coach Rich McLaughlin on being a part of a 17-goal game in the state playoffs.
If you predicted Randolph and Livingston would combine for 17 goals on Monday night, make sure you play the lottery while you're at it.
Randolph erased a 4-goal deficit to win 10-7.
My story on an absolutely wild North, Public semifinal that nobody will forget anytime soon:

My story on an absolutely wild North, Public semifinal that nobody will forget anytime soon:
Randolph rallies past Livingston as teams combine for 17 goals in North, Public semifinal
By Mike Gurnis Randolph coach Rich McLaughlin has seen quite a few things in his over three decades of coaching. But nothing like Monday night's North, Public sectional semifinal, he said. In a battle of two perennially strong programs in Randolph and Livingston that are usually known for defense, the teams combined for 17 total goals. Randolph erased a four-goal second period deficit with six unanswered goals.
