The CFP leaving Ole Miss out because Lane Kiffin left would be such a joke. Nowhere else would it ever even be a thought to exclude a team that earned it on the field because of an injury or coaching departure. Imagine if when Wentz got hurt, the NFL told Eagles to stay home.

People are acting like Lane Kiffin wanted to coach Ole Miss in the CFP as some charity service for the lesser program in the midst of arguably their best season ever. And while maybe part of it is he wanted to do it for school and players, he also wanted to do it for himself.

I will never begrudge someone for taking what they feel is a better job. Most people would leave their current job for more money and what they feel is a better situation. However, Lane Kiffin could’ve handled his exit way better. He just could have.
