I don't think it's overdramatic to say that we must consider whether we want "working artist" to be a viable prospect in the near future, and how to materially protect the field from corporations, execs, and managers all too happy to automate creative production with AI.

Bored to tears by all this ‘cinematography/prose/dialogue/etc etc etc etc etc is dead’ discourse, who cares what’s happening in the mainstream? Who cares about it? You fix its position by talking about, find the things you’re dreaming of, some version exists, a better version exists in your hands
