Any project in Batang Toru, whether mining, hydro power or plantation agriculture, needs to remain on hold while a comprehensive plan is put together to protect this ecosystem and the people and wildlife that live there.

ICYMI: Marfrig, the world’s 2nd-largest beef producer, will become the first major beef company to disclose its Scope 3 methane emissions. The company also announced a methane reduction target that, if achieved, would be the equivalent of taking 1.17 million gas-powered cars off the road for a year.
