If it helps, the fear and mistrust many people have of expertise is an engineered social condition. It's one that takes a heck of a lot of money to sustain.

Press barons, publicists, marketeers, politicians...they all have a lot to gain from getting people to distrust scientists and experts.

The UK arming Israel and giving them the intelligence to prosecute a genocide is a far greater desecration than cutting ribbons ever could be. One directly kills babies, the other does not, and the latter was only done to draw attention to the former. I already respect civilians on both sides.
